Over 90,000 people were packed into Dover, Delaware from June 18th to the 21st to jam along to musical acts such as The Kooks, Walk The Moon, Snoop Dogg, Cage the Elephant, Bastille, The Killers, Zedd, Hozier, Echosmith, Tove Lo, Sublime With Rome, Rome the Jewels and the legendary Paul McCartney. With 7 stages to venture to, audiences were able to experience the best performances from all genres of music.
What sets Firefly apart from most music festivals, is not only the rarity and diversity of acts that grace the stage, but also the camping set up, which promotes unity and a true Woodlands experience amongst fellow festival-goers. Attendees of Firefly are encouraged to go camping or glamping (which is just code for glamorous camping), during the four day event. The campsite is about a 10-minute walk from the festival and a 5-minute walk from The Hub, where food trucks, showers and phone charging stations can be found. Firefly provides yoga in the morning at The Hub and also gives the opportunity for smaller musical acts to perform there throughout the morning.
Firefly is a fairly new to the festival game, starting in 2012, but this does not take away from the spectacular musical party in The Woodlands. From bonfires to Paul McCartney, Firefly meshes together mud and music to create a one-of-a-kind festival experience.
